The Casa da Eira is an oasis of tranquillity, in the middle of the local fuss and stir. It is located in the village of Moledo do Minho, and consists of three small houses with a garden and orchard, surrounded by high walls. These are old lodgings that have been refurbished by the architect Álvaro Siza and have since been used in a rural tourism setting.
One of the houses has a vast balcony and the garden has stone tables and benches, a terrace, trellised vines and granaries. The whole place is near the Moledo beach, and close to the villages of Âncora and Caminha, being a few minutes by ferry away from the border.
Tranquillity in the house, fuss and stir on the beach, at the local fair, the market-place, on the streets.
The well kept garden and the swimming pool of unusual design offer the adequate means to enjoy the rural atmosphere in a cool comfort zone. There you can feel the fragrance of the orange orchard, pear trees, avocados, apple trees, hazel trees; and of the Chinese wisteria, hydrangeas, lavender, rosemary, geranium, scented plants and lawns.
Definitely, an inspiring space for artists, and people of high sensitivity looking for unique experiences.
Notice: For various reasons, that you will certainly understand, smoking is not allowed in the rooms, apartments or houses. Neither is playing football, in the swimming pool area, nor near the rooms, apartments or houses, so that those who are resting will not be disturbed. The presence of dogs on the property is not permitted.
